Coping with Holiday Stress: Try physical activity

THE HOLIDAYS ARE COMING!

Stress is a part of life--perhaps more so during the holidays.

We expend energy everyday simply dealing with the difficulties of life.  We must replenish or we will soon “run out of gas.”

TRY PHYSICAL ACTIVITY.  If you are tense, nervous or agitated, release the pressure through
exercise or physical activity.  Try running, walking, sports, biking, playing tennis, aerobics, push ups,
sit ups, punching a bag, gardening, dancing, hiking, or jumping rope.  Physical exercise can work out
stress, will relieve the “uptight” feeling, will relax you and turn the frowns into smiles.  Remember,
your body and your mind impact each other.

For more information on coping with holiday stress, attend the presentation by Bob Stahn on November 2, 2017 from 6:30-7:30 pm at the EIRMC Cancer Center on the Corner of Sunnyside and Channing Way.
